Burger Patty
Bun and Toppings
Method
Preparing the Burger Patty
Mix the Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indent in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
Assembling the Burger
Prepare the Buns
While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
Slice the Tomato
Wash the tomato and slice it into medium-thick slices.
Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked beef patty. Top with a slice of tomato and drizzle with the special sauce. Finally, place the top half of the bun on the burger.
