Method
Preparation of Wings
Clean and Season the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until the wings are well coated.
Heat the Oil
In a large, deep pot or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Use a thermometer to monitor the temperature, aiming for around 350°F (175°C).
Cooking the Wings
Fry the Wings
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the seasoned wings in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry the wings for about 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wings from the oil and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Saucing the Wings
Toss with Sauce
In a large mixing bowl, add your choice of sauce (buffalo, honey garlic, or barbecue). Add the fried wings and toss them in the sauce until they are evenly coated. Serve immediately for the best crispy texture.
