Chicken Tenders
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
In a large bowl, season the chicken tenders with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper according to your desired spice level. Set aside.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In one shallow dish, add the all-purpose flour. In a second shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk. In a third shallow dish, combine cornstarch with a pinch of salt.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken tender first in the flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat with cornstarch. Ensure each tender is well coated.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully add the breaded chicken tenders to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 4-6 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the tenders from the oil and place them on a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauces.
