Waffle Batter
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Waffle Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then mix in the milk and vanilla extract. Melt the butter and let it cool slightly, then add it to the wet ingredients.
- 2
Combine Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix. Gently fold in the pearl sugar.
- 3
Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your Belgian waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 4
Cook the Waffles
Lightly grease the waffle iron with non-stick spray or butter. Pour enough batter into the waffle iron to just cover the surface. Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- 5
Serve
Remove the waffles from the iron and serve immediately with your choice of toppings such as whipped cream, fresh fruit, or maple syrup.
