Method

Roast Beef Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Rinse the beef roast and pat it dry with paper towels. Rub the roast with olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Ensure even coverage over the entire roast.

  2. 2

    Roast the Beef

Place the seasoned roast in a roasting pan and insert it into the preheated oven. Roast for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.

  3. 3

    Rest the Beef

Once done, remove the roast from the oven and cover it loosely with aluminum foil. Let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 4

    Cook the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot and cover with salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Use a potato masher to mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Coleslaw Preparation

  1. 6

    Mix the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and salt until smooth. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots, then toss until evenly coated.

  2. 7

    Chill the Coleslaw

Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Vegetable Side Preparation

  1. 8

    Cook the Green Beans

In a pot of boiling salted water, add the trimmed green beans. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp. Drain and return to the pot.

  2. 9

    Season the Green Beans

Drizzle the olive oil over the cooked green beans and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly before serving.
