Method

Marinating the Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Place the boneless chicken breasts into the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for better flavor.

Cooking the Chicken

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or charbroiler to medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  3. 5

    Rest the Chicken

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

While the chicken is resting, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill for 1-2 minutes, if desired.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on each bun, followed by a slice of tomato. Add the sliced grilled chicken on top, and if using, place a slice of cheese. Finally, cap the sandwich with the top half of the bun.

  3. 8

    Serve

Serve the charbroiled chicken sandwiches warm with your choice of side dish.
