Soak Tamarind
In a bowl, soak the tamarind pulp in 240 ml of warm water for about 15 minutes to soften.

Strain Mixture
After soaking, strain the mixture through a fine sieve into a bowl to extract the tamarind juice, pressing it down to get all the liquid out.

Combine Ingredients
In a saucepan, combine the tamarind juice, brown sugar, salt, chili powder, cumin powder, minced garlic, grated ginger, and ground black pepper.

Adjust Flavor
Add lemon juice and taste the sauce. Adjust salt or sugar according to your preference. If you want more heat, add additional chili powder.

Simmer
Let the sauce simmer for about 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens to your desired consistency.

Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool before transferring it to a clean jar or container for storage.
