Method

For the Paneer Tikka

  1. 1

    Prepare Paneer Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until smooth.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Paneer

Cut the paneer into cubes and add it to the yogurt marinade. Toss to coat all pieces evenly. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare Vegetables

Chop the bell peppers and onion into bite-sized pieces.

  4. 4

    Cook the Paneer Tikka

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated paneer along with the chopped vegetables. Sauté for about 10-15 minutes until the paneer is golden and the vegetables are tender.

For the Rice

  1. 5

    Rinse the Rice

Wash the basmati rice under cold running water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

  2. 6

    Cook the Rice

In a pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Add the rinsed rice, salt, and cumin seeds. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed.

For Serving

  1. 7

    Assemble the Bowl

In a serving bowl, place a generous portion of the cooked rice at the bottom. Top with the paneer tikka and vegetables.

  2. 8

    Garnish

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and lemon wedges. Serve hot.
