Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.

Add Tea and Spices
Once the water is boiling, add 4 tablespoons of black tea leaves, 4 whole cardamom pods, and 1 piece of cinnamon stick. Stir well.

Simmer
Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse.

Add Evaporated Milk
Pour in 1 cup of evaporated milk and stir well. Allow the chai to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

Strain the Chai
Remove from heat and strain the chai through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl or pitcher to remove the tea leaves and spices.
Serving the Iced Chai

Prepare Glasses
Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes (about 1 cup of ice per glass).

Pour Chai
Divide the strained chai mixture evenly between the two glasses over the ice.

Garnish
Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon and cardamom powder on top of each glass. Add fresh mint leaves for garnish if desired.
