Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Start by wearing gloves to protect your hands from the heat of the habanero peppers. Remove the stems from the habanero peppers and cut them in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds if you prefer a milder sauce.

  2. 2

    Peel the Garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and set them aside. You can slightly crush them with the side of a knife to release more flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Blend the Sauce

In a blender, combine the prepared habanero peppers, garlic cloves, white vinegar, olive oil, salt, sugar, and lime juice. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

  2. 4

    Adjust the Consistency

If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little water or extra vinegar to reach your desired consistency. Blend again until smooth.

Storage

  1. 5

    Transfer to a Container

Pour the habanero garlic sauce into a clean, airtight container or bottle. Let it cool to room temperature before sealing.

  2. 6

    Refrigerate

Store the sauce in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. The flavors will intensify over time, so it's best to let it sit for at least 24 hours before using.
