Method

Prepare the Espresso

  1. 1

    Brew the Espresso

Start by brewing a shot of fresh espresso. Allow it to cool slightly before using it in the cocktail.

Mix the Cocktail

  1. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add the freshly brewed espresso, vodka, coffee liqueur, and simple syrup.

  2. 3

    Add Ice

Fill the shaker with ice cubes, making sure it is about 2/3 full.

  3. 4

    Shake Well

Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well-chilled.

Serve the Cocktail

  1. 5

    Strain and Pour

Using a fine mesh strainer, pour the mixture into a chilled martini glass, ensuring a smooth pour without any ice shards.

  2. 6

    Garnish

Garnish the cocktail with three coffee beans placed on top. Optionally, sprinkle some chocolate shavings for added flavor.
