Espresso Base

Steamed Milk

Method

Prepare Espresso

  1. 1

    Brew Espresso

Prepare two shots of espresso using an espresso machine. Make sure the espresso is strong and rich.

  2. 2

    Add Chocolate Sauce

In a large mug, combine the brewed espresso with two tablespoons of chocolate sauce. Stir well until the sauce is fully dissolved.

Steam Milk

  1. 3

    Heat Milk

In a saucepan or using a milk steamer, heat one cup of milk until it’s steaming but not boiling. If using a saucepan, stir occasionally to prevent scorching.

  2. 4

    Froth Milk

Using a milk frother or whisk, froth the heated milk until it’s light and airy. You can also use a French press to froth the milk.

Assemble Mocha

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the steamed and frothed milk over the espresso and chocolate mixture in the mug. Use a spoon to hold back the foam while pouring to keep it separate.

  2. 6

    Add Whipped Cream

Top the mocha with a generous swirl of whipped cream.

  3. 7

    Garnish (optional)

Sprinkle chocolate shavings on top of the whipped cream for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.
