Method
Prepare the Wings
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil and placing a wire rack on top.
- 2
Dry the Wings
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps achieve crispiness.
- 3
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss well to coat evenly.
- 4
Arrange on Rack
Place the seasoned wings on the wire rack in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching.
- 5
Bake the Wings
Drizzle vegetable oil over the wings. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the wings are golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
Prepare the Sauces
- 6
Buffalo Sauce
In a small bowl, mix 1 cup of buffalo sauce with melted butter if desired for a richer flavor.
- 7
Barbecue Sauce
If using store-bought barbecue sauce, pour 1 cup into a small bowl. For homemade, combine ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and spices to taste.
- 8
Honey Mustard Sauce
In another small bowl, mix 1 cup of honey mustard sauce with a little extra mustard for added tang if desired.
Serve the Wings
- 9
Toss the Wings
Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Toss them in your choice of sauce or serve the sauces on the side.
