Dough Preparation

Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, combine the warm milk (110°F) and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine 4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 tsp of salt. Add the activated yeast mixture, 2 eggs, and melted 1 cup of unsalted butter.

Knead the Dough
Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Make the Filling
In a bowl, mix together 1 cup of brown sugar and 2 tbs of ground cinnamon. Set aside.

Prepare Butter
Melt the remaining 1 cup of unsalted butter and set aside for spreading on the dough.
Assembly and Baking

Roll Out the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Shape the Rolls
Starting from one edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Slice into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.

Second Rise
Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.

Bake the Rolls
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the cinnamon rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Icing Preparation

Make the Icing
In a bowl, beat together 8 oz of cream cheese, 2 cups of powdered sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and 2 tbs of milk until smooth and creamy.
Serving

Frost the Rolls
Once the rolls are baked and slightly cooled, spread the cream cheese icing generously over the top. Serve warm.
