Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Brew Espresso

Prepare 1 oz of fresh espresso using an espresso machine or a stovetop espresso maker. Allow it to cool slightly before using.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of vodka, 1 oz of coffee liqueur, 1 oz of fresh espresso, and 1 oz of simple syrup.

  3. 3

    Add Chocolate Syrup

Drizzle 1 oz of chocolate syrup inside the cocktail shaker prior to shaking. This will create a beautiful marbling effect.

  4. 4

    Shake

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

  5. 5

    Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass. You can use a fine mesh strainer for a smoother pour.

Garnishing

  1. 6

    Garnish with Cocoa Powder

Dust the top of the cocktail with 1 tsp of cocoa powder for an elegant finish.

  2. 7

    Optional Chocolate Drizzle

If desired, drizzle extra chocolate syrup on top or along the rim of the glass for added decoration.
