Marinate Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts and ensure they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Prepare Breading
In a separate bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour and cornstarch. Set aside.

Heat Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Bread Chicken
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk marinade and allow excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour and cornstarch mixture until fully coated.

Fry Chicken
Carefully place the breaded chicken in the hot oil. Fry for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Prepare Vegetables
While the chicken is frying, wash and dry the romaine lettuce. Slice the tomato and onion into desired thickness.

Assemble Sandwich
On the bottom half of each brioche bun, layer a piece of fried chicken, followed by lettuce, tomato slices, onion rings, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve immediately while the chicken is hot and crispy.
