Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup and place a wire rack on top.

  2. 2

    Prepare Bacon

Arrange the thick-cut bacon slices in a single layer on the wire rack. Make sure the slices do not overlap to allow for even cooking.

Spice Mixture

  1. 3

    Mix Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly to combine the spices evenly.

  2. 4

    Coat Bacon

Sprinkle the spice blend generously over the bacon slices, ensuring each slice is well-coated. You can use your hands to press the mixture into the bacon for better adherence.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Bake Bacon

Place the baking sheet with the bacon in the preheated oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the bacon is caramelized and crispy. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.

  2. 6

    Cool and Serve

Once the bacon is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool on the wire rack for 5 minutes before serving. The bacon will continue to crisp up as it cools.
