Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally. Once cooked, transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Smash the Avocado

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Add lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Use a fork to mash the avocado until it reaches your desired consistency.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash the lettuce leaves thoroughly and pat them dry. Slice the tomato into thick, even slices.

  4. 4

    Toast the Bread

Lightly toast the challah bread slices in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Build the Sandwich

Spread a generous layer of the smashed avocado on one slice of toasted challah bread. Layer with crispy bacon, followed by lettuce leaves, and then tomato slices. Season with additional salt and pepper if desired.

  2. 6

    Finish the Sandwich

Top with the second slice of toasted challah bread and cut the sandwich in half. Serve immediately.
