Preparation and Cooking

    Prepare the Wings

    Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

    Add Rub

    If using rubs, sprinkle five-spice powder or chuan jerk seasoning over the wings and toss to coat well.

    Bake the Wings

    Spread the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until crispy and cooked through, flipping halfway.

    Sauce the Wings

    Remove the wings from the oven and toss them in your choice of sauce until fully coated. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.

    Serve

    Remove from the oven and serve hot with additional sauce on the side if desired.
