Bulgogi Steak Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, and black pepper. Add the ribeye steak, making sure it is fully coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or overnight for best results.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and reserve the marinade. Cook the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium rare, or until desired doneness. Remove the steak and let it rest.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Onions

In the same wok, add sliced onion and stir-fry until softened, about 2-3 minutes. Add the reserved marinade and bring to a simmer.

  4. 4

    Glaze the Steak

Slice the rested steak thinly against the grain and return to the wok. Toss in the marinade until the steak is glazed and heated through.

  5. 5

    Serve

Plate the bulgogi steak topped with sautéed onions. Serve with spicy kimchi, housemade pickles, and a dollop of gochujang on the side.
