Prepare the Patties
Form the ground beef into two equal patties (5 oz each) and season with salt and black pepper.

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and set aside.

Cook the Patties
In the same skillet, cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Melt the Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place one slice of American cheese and one slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.

Toast the Bread
While the patties are cooking, toast the slices of country white bread until golden brown.

Assemble the Burger
Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread. Place a lettuce leaf on one slice, followed by one cheese-topped patty, two bacon slices, and tomato slices. Top with another slice of toasted bread. Repeat for the second layer with the remaining patty and ingredients.

Serve
Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
