Cochon De Lait Pressed Cuban Sandwich Directions

1. Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all ingredients and slice the Cuban bread in half lengthwise.

2. Assemble the Sandwich

Spread yellow mustard on the inside of both halves of the Cuban bread. Layer the roast pork, sliced ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles onto the bottom half of the bread.

3. Press the Sandwich

Place the top half of the bread over the fillings. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Place the sandwich in the skillet, pressing down with a spatula.

4. Cook Until Golden

Cook the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich, adding the remaining butter to the skillet. Press down again and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.

5. Serve

Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice it in half, and serve hot.
