Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Spinach

Wash the spinach thoroughly and boil it in water for 2-3 minutes. Drain and immediately transfer to cold water to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, blend it into a smooth paste.

  2. 2

    Cook the Base

In a pan, heat oil or ghee over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Then, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

  3. 3

    Add Spices and Tomato

Add ginger-garlic paste and green chili. Sauté for a minute, then add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the mixture.

  4. 4

    Combine Spinach and Paneer

Add the spinach paste to the pan and mix well. Then, add the paneer cubes and garam masala. Stir gently to combine and cook for another 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Finish with Cream

If using, add fresh cream to the palak paneer and mix well. Adjust salt as needed and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
