Method
Preparing Espresso
- 1
Grind and Brew Espresso
Using a coffee grinder, grind the espresso coffee beans to a fine consistency. Brew the coffee using an espresso machine or a stovetop espresso maker with 300 ml of water.
Making Cocoa Mix
- 2
Combine Cocoa Ingredients
In a small mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until combined.
Creating Milk Foam
- 3
Heat and Froth Milk
In a small saucepan, heat 200 ml of whole milk (or non-dairy milk) over medium heat until warm but not boiling. Use a milk frother or whisk to froth the milk until it reaches a light and airy texture.
- 4
Add Cinnamon
Once frothed, sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and stir gently to combine.
Assembling the Drink
- 5
Mix Cocoa with Espresso
In a large cup, combine the brewed espresso with the cocoa mix. Stir well to ensure the cocoa and sugar dissolve completely.
- 6
Top with Frothed Milk
Pour the frothed milk over the espresso and cocoa mixture, allowing it to blend gently.
- 7
Add Toppings
For an extra touch, add whipped cream on top and sprinkle with chocolate shavings if desired.
