Biscuits
Method
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure it is hot enough for baking the biscuits.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 0.5 teaspoon of salt. Whisk together until well combined.
- 3
Cut in Butter
Add 0.5 cups of unsalted butter (cold and cut into small cubes) to the dry mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4
- 5
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Pour the yoghurt mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix the dough.
- 6
Fold in Granola
Gently fold in 0.5 cups of granola into the biscuit dough until evenly distributed.
- 7
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick. Using a biscuit cutter or a glass, cut out biscuits and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 8
Bake the Biscuits
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
- 9
Cool and Serve
Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Serve warm with additional yoghurt or honey if desired.
