Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a large bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Make Dough

Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.

  3. 3

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  4. 4

    Shape Pretzels

After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope and twist into a pretzel shape.

Boiling and Baking

  1. 5

    Boil Pretzels

Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large pot, bring 10 cups of water to a boil and add baking soda. Boil each pretzel for 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. 6

    Bake Pretzels

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Garlic Butter Preparation

  1. 7

    Make Garlic Butter

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in minced garlic, parsley, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Spicy Mustard Preparation

  1. 8

    Combine Mustard Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix Dijon mustard, honey, and hot sauce until well combined.

Beer Cheese Preparation

  1. 9

    Make Beer Cheese

In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, beer, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
