Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Seafood
In a medium bowl, combine the crab meat or drained tuna with tartar sauce. Mix well until the seafood is evenly coated.
- 2
Season the Mixture
Add black pepper, salt (to taste), and paprika to the seafood mixture. Stir to combine all ingredients thoroughly.
Assembly
- 3
Toast the English Muffins
Split the English muffins in half and toast them until golden brown. This will help them hold the toppings better.
- 4
Add the Seafood Mixture
Spread an equal amount of the seafood mixture on each toasted half of the English muffin.
- 5
Top with Cheese
Sprinkle cheddar cheese or mozzarella cheese over the seafood mixture, depending on your preference.
Cooking
- 6
Broil the Melts
Place the assembled muffins on a baking sheet and broil them in the oven for about 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.
