Burger Patty

Toppings

Brioche Roll

Optional Cheese

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well using your hands until just combined.

  2. 2

    Shape Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal parts and shape each into a patty about ¾ inch thick.

Cook the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese (Optional)

If you are making a cheeseburger, place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking, cover to melt the cheese.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 6

    Slice Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and red onion. Rinse the lettuce and pat dry.

  2. 7

    Sauté Mushrooms (Optional)

In a small skillet, sauté the mushrooms with a bit of oil over medium heat for about 5 minutes until they're golden brown.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 8

    Toast the Brioche Rolls

Optionally, toast the brioche rolls on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 9

    Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of each brioche roll, add a layer of lettuce, followed by the cooked patty (with or without cheese), sliced tomatoes, red onions, and sautéed mushrooms.

  3. 10

    Complete the Burger

Top with the other half of the brioche roll and press down gently.
