Method

Crab Cakes

  1. 1

    Prepare Crab Cake Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, chopped green onions, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Crab Cakes

Using your hands, form the crab mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Fry Crab Cakes

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 4

    Cook Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into equal-sized chunks. Boil in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 5

    Mash Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Vegetable of the Day

  1. 6

    Prepare Vegetables

Wash and trim the broccoli or asparagus. Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  2. 7

    Cook Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the vegetables until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Sauce

  1. 8

    Make Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, lemon juice, chopped capers, and fresh dill. Stir until well combined.
