Method
For the Waffles

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- 2
- 3
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 4
Cook the Waffles
Preheat your waffle iron. Pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until golden brown.
For the Chicken
- 5
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let them marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- 6
Prepare the Coating
In a shallow dish, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
- 7
Dredge the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- 8
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
