Method

Prepare the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Season the Shrimp

In a bowl, season the peeled and deveined shrimp with salt and black pepper. Mix well to ensure all shrimp are evenly coated.

Prepare the Breading

  1. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, place the all-purpose flour in the first bowl, beat the eggs in the second bowl, and combine breadcrumbs, paprika, and garlic powder in the third bowl.

Bread the Shrimp

  1. 3

    Coat the Shrimp

Take each shrimp and first coat it in the flour, shaking off the excess. Next, dip it in the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the shrimp in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat for all shrimp.

Fry the Shrimp

  1. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Fry the Shrimp

Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the shrimp and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve with Sauces

Arrange the breaded shrimp on a serving plate and serve with a side of tartar sauce and cocktail sauce for dipping.
