Method

Waffles

  1. 1

    Prepare the Waffle Batter

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk together until well combined. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined. If using, fold in chocolate chips or blueberries.

  3. 3

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Lightly grease it with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.

  4. 4

    Cook the Waffles

Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Close the lid and cook according to your waffle iron's instructions until golden brown. Repeat until all the batter is used.

Eggs and Sides

  1. 5

    Cook the Hash Browns

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little oil or butter and then add the hash browns. Cook until crispy and golden brown, about 10-15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Sausage and Bacon

In the same skillet, add the sausage links and cook over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and keep warm. Next, cook the bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 7

    Cook the Eggs

Using the same skillet, crack the eggs and cook them 'your way' (scrambled, fried, or poached). Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. 8

    Toast the Bread

Toast the slices of bread in a toaster or on a skillet with a little butter until golden brown.

  5. 9

    Assemble the Plate

On a large plate, serve the waffles alongside the cooked eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, and toast.
