Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Macaroni

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Shrimp

In the same pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the pot and set aside.

  3. 3

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually add the milk while whisking continuously until the mixture thickens. Stir in the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked macaroni and sautéed shrimp to the cheese sauce. Mix until everything is well combined.

  5. 5

    Bake the Dish

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
