Cake Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Bake the Cake
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool and Prepare
Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.

Prepare Chocolate Streusel
In a bowl, mix 0.5 cups all-purpose flour, 0.5 cups cocoa powder, 0.5 cups brown sugar, and 0.25 cups cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the cake before baking.

Whip Cream
In a chilled bowl, beat 1 cup of heavy cream with 2 tablespoons powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

Assemble the Cake
Layer the cooled cakes, adding chocolate streusel in between. Top with whipped cream and garnish with fresh raspberries.
