Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients and prepare them as described.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausages

In a large paella pan or skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chorizo and Portuguese sausage, and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same pan, add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until they are soft and fragrant.

  4. 4

    Add Rice and Spices

Stir in the rice, smoked paprika, and saffron. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the rice is well coated.

  5. 5

    Add Broth

Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Season with salt and black pepper.

  6. 6

    Add Seafood and Sausages

Reduce the heat to low, add the shrimp, clams, and the previously cooked sausages back to the pan. Cover and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the clams have opened.

  7. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
