Macadamia Nut Crusted Hawaiian Fish

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Fish

Season the fish fillets with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour in one, beaten eggs in the second, and a mix of macadamia nuts and panko in the third.

  4. 4

    Bread the Fish

Dredge each fish fillet in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, then press into the macadamia nut and panko mixture to coat evenly.

  5. 5

    Cook the Fish

In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the fish fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Bake the Fish

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
