Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Fish
Rinse the Hawaiian fish fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Place them on a heatproof plate that fits into your steamer.
- 2
Make the Aromatic Relish
In a small mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, ginger slices, minced garlic, and red chili flakes. Mix well.
- 3
Add Toppings
Pour half of the aromatic relish over the fish fillets, and sprinkle chopped green onions on top.
- 4
Steam the Fish
Set up your steamer and bring water to a simmer. Place the plate with the fish into the steamer and cover. Steam for about 10-12 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- 5
Finish with Garnish
Once cooked, remove the plate from the steamer. Drizzle the remaining aromatic relish over the fish and garnish with chopped cilantro.
- 6
Serve
Serve the steamed Hawaiian fish hot, accompanied by steamed rice or vegetables.
