Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ahi Tuna

Pat the Ahi tuna steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with blackening seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  2. 2

    Sear the Tuna

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the tuna steaks and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Make the Butter Sauce

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the soy sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, minced garlic, and cayenne pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is well combined and slightly thickened.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a minute. Slice the tuna and drizzle the spicy soy mustard butter sauce over the top before serving.
