For the Basque Cheesecake
Method
Directions for the Basque Cheesecake
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F). Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper, letting the paper extend above the edges.
- 2
Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer for best results.
- 3
Add Eggs
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Ensure the mixture is well combined and smooth.
- 4
Incorporate Cream and Flavoring
Add the heavy cream, vanilla extract, flour, and a pinch of salt. Mix until fully combined and there are no lumps.
- 5
Bake the Cheesecake
Pour the batter into the prepared springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is dark brown and the center is still slightly jiggly.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Allow the cheesecake to cool in the pan for about 1 hour, then remove it from the springform pan and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
