Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Poaching the Apple

In a saucepan, combine Cabernet Sauvignon, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Add sliced Fuji apple and poach for about 10 minutes until tender. Remove from heat and let cool.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Brie

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface. Place the Brie cheese in the center of the pastry. Drain the poached apples and arrange them on top of the Brie.

  3. 3

    Wrap and Bake

Fold the pastry over the Brie and apples, sealing the edges. Brush the top with melted butter. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Make Honey Butter

In a small bowl, mix together softened butter and honey until well combined.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the baked Brie from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with toasted baguette slices and honey butter on the side.
