Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the baguette into small cubes and place them in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with garlic powder, dried oregano, and salt. Toss until the bread is evenly coated.
- 2
Bake the Croutons
Spread the coated bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Allow them to cool.
- 3
Prepare the Salad
While the croutons cool, wash and dry the romaine lettuce. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.
- 4
Assemble the Salad
Add the homemade croutons and shaved Parmigiano Reggiano cheese over the romaine lettuce. Drizzle the Caesar dressing on top and toss gently to combine.
- 5
Serve
Serve immediately while the croutons are still crunchy.
