Fries
Method
Preparation
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash the Russet potatoes thoroughly and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide.
Soak the Fries
Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps in making them crispier.
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Season the Fries
Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry with a clean towel. In a large bowl, combine the fries, olive oil, fresh rosemary, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the fries are evenly coated.
Bake the Fries
Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Serve
Remove the fries from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, garnished with additional rosemary if desired.
