Method
Preparing Bread Pudding

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare Bread
Tear the stale bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture over the bread pieces and gently fold until all the bread is soaked. Let it sit for about 15 minutes.

Add Dried Berries
Fold in the mixed dried berries into the soaked bread mixture.

Transfer to Baking Dish
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Baking Bread Pudding

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and the pudding is set.

Once baked, remove from oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Making Bird's Vanilla Custard

Prepare Custard
In a saucepan, mix the Bird's Custard Powder with 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Gradually whisk in 2 cups of milk.

Cook Custard
Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir continuously until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Serving

Serve warm bread pudding drizzled with Bird's vanilla custard.
