Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and granulated sugar. Whisk together until well mixed.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Then add the vanilla extract and melted coconut oil. Whisk until fully combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Baking

  1. 5

    Add Optional Ingredients

If using, fold the chocolate chips and chopped nuts into the batter.

  2. 6

    Pour into Pan

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

  3. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  4. 8

    Cool and Serve

Allow the dessert to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.
