Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

In a mixing bowl, combine the Certified Angus beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Charbroil the Patties

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. If using, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking.

  2. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, place the artisan rolls cut-side down on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.

  2. 6

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.

Burger Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted artisan roll, place a lettuce leaf followed by the cooked beef patty. Add a slice of tomato and top with the other half of the roll.
