Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Add Cheese and Seasonings
Remove the pot from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until the pasta is well-coated.

Prepare the Panko Topping
In a small bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with olive oil and a sprinkle of smoked paprika. Stir until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese to a baking dish and sprinkle the panko mixture evenly on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and crispy.
