    Prepare the Tuna

    Pat the Ahi tuna fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

    Sear the Tuna

    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tuna fillets. Sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until the outside is browned but the inside remains rare. Remove from heat and let rest for a minute.

    Prepare the Dipping Sauce

    In a small bowl, mix soy sauce and wasabi paste until well combined.

    Plate the Dish

    On a plate, create a bed of seaweed salad. Slice the seared tuna into thin strips and place on top of the salad. Drizzle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

    Serve

    Serve immediately with the soy-wasabi dipping sauce on the side.
