Prepare the Oysters
Rinse the oysters under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.

Create the Breading
In a shallow dish, combine flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Bread the Oysters
Dip each oyster into the wet mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the dry mixture until evenly coated.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Oysters
Carefully add the breaded oysters to the hot oil in batches, frying for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve
Serve the fried oysters hot with rooster sauce and house remoulade sauce on the side.
