Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Batter

In a large bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth and well combined. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Fish

Cut the fish fillets into strips, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

  4. 4

    Fry the Fish

Dip each fish strip into the batter, allowing the excess to drip off. Carefully place the battered fish into the hot oil, frying in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on a paper towel.

  5. 5

    Warm the Tortillas

In a separate skillet, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Tacos

Place a few pieces of fried fish on each tortilla, top with shredded cabbage, red onion, sliced radish, and fresh cilantro. Drizzle with white sauce if desired.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the tacos immediately while hot, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
