Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the Angus beef filet in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, making sure it's well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Toppings

While the steak is marinating, prepare the caramelized onions and roasted red peppers. To caramelize onions, slice them thinly and cook them in a skillet over medium heat with a little olive oil until golden brown. For roasted red peppers, you can use jarred or roast fresh peppers in the oven until charred, then peel and slice.

  4. 4

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the ciabatta bread in half and toast it lightly on the grill. Place the grilled steak on the bottom half, top with caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, and Monterey jack cheese. Cover with the top half of the bread.

  6. 6

    Serve

Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately while hot.
